In the United States, the fourth Thursday in November is set aside for celebrating Thanksgiving. This holiday is a day to acknowledge all of the blessings of the past year, share with those in need, and eat an enormous meal with friends and family. In recognition of this American holiday, the College Sainte-Gertrude in combination with Mme Perreaux, graciously helped me celebrate this day. The festivities consisted of a short presentation on the history, purpose, and traditions of Thanksgiving and afterwards a time to enjoy a typical Thanksgiving dish-- pumpkin pie! I had a wonderful time and am so grateful to my class, and my teachers for coming to help me celebrate.
